Sycamore Hills Swim ClubThe mission of the club is to safely operate an aquatics facility where members can learn to swim and where friendships can be fostered and strengthened. As a smaller club, the members really get to know one another. Sycamore Hills Swim Club has been operating since 1968.
The swim club operates two pools. The primary pool is 35 feet wide by 75 feet long and ranges in depth from 3 feet to 10 feet. The second pool is a wading pool designed for 4 year olds and under. This smaller pool is 12 feet in diameter and ranges from 4 inches in depth to 18 inches in depth. There is always at least one lifeguard on duty and usually there are two or more staff members in the pool area.
In general, the club operates from NOON to 8 p.m. daily, until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day with some reduced hours while Columbus City Schools are in session. Of course, we cannot operate in adverse weather conditions.
Since the club is seldom crowded, the environment is more relaxed. Mothers have commented that they are very comfortable bringing their children to the pool where they can easily see all of their children all of the time.

Early-bird discounts are offered until May 15th. For additional membership inquiries Contact SHSC Swim Lesson InformationSycamore Hills Swim Club offers private swimming lessons. Our swim lesson program is open to both members and non-members. Our instructors have received their Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certifcations through the American Red Cross. Offering private lessons allows our instructors to tailor the swim instruction to best suit your child's needs. We also allow flexibility in scheduling. Some students are able to complete multiple swim lesson sessions throughout one summer. Swim Lesson Session: 6, half-hour private lessons For additional swim lesson inquiries Contact SHSC Swim Team InformationSycamore Hills Swim Club offers a developmental swim team program for members and non-members. Our program focuses on keeping children active and introducing them to the sport of swimming. The SHSC team competes in several meets around the Columbus area through our COSA (Central Ohio Swimming Assocation) affiliation. We do ask that participants be familiar to several swim strokes and are able to swim the length of the pool. While it is a developmental league, our coaches do not work on stroke development. Practices are held several days a week through June and July. Meets are generally held in the evening or on a Saturday. We conclude on swim team season with a pool side pizza party and awards ceremony at the end of July or in early August.
